# 3. Incompatible software

## Remove third-party antivirus software

Before running the program, uninstall third-party antivirus products such as McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky, Avast, AVG, ESET NOD32, Malwarebytes, and 360 Total Security.

Restart your PC after uninstalling. Closing the antivirus window is not enough because its services continue running in the background.

## Remove conflicting anti-cheat software

Uninstall Riot Vanguard, FACEIT Anti-cheat, ESEA, ACE, and other third-party anti-cheat tools.

Do **not** remove Easy Anti-Cheat or BattlEye if your game requires them.

## Close monitoring and overclocking tools

Quit these programs completely, including their system tray icons:

* MSI Afterburner;
* RivaTuner Statistics Server;
* EVGA Precision;
* Gigabyte AORUS Engine;
* ASUS GPU Tweak;
* AMD Ryzen Master;
* Intel XTU;
* HWMonitor and similar monitoring tools.

CPU-Z and Cinebench normally only need to be closed; they do not need to be uninstalled.

## Verify

Open Task Manager with `Ctrl + Shift + Esc` and confirm that none of the listed programs appear under **Processes**.
